It definitely looks interesting. The art and music look great, and the game seems to have the same feel of those good ol’ RPGs (but with some nice additions like this musical dungeon mechanic).
In fact, I’m gonna try the demo right away. I know you nearly finished your game but good luck with the end of your project ! 🙂
Amazing, what YouTube can do. First an office buddy shows me the Plants vs. Zombies music video (we both work at a game studio and he was encouraging me to check the game out for personal reference). Then I get hooked on the game. I revisited the video, saw your website linked from the description, clicked, and got to play Melolune. 🙂
I find it really, really charming. Sure, it needs a little more polish, but in all honesty I must say I’ve enjoyed romping through the demo so far. Heck, I enjoyed it so much I made this fanart for you:
No problem. Heck, I’ll be glad to make portrait assets and character art for the game if it’s ok with you. 😀
By the way, there seemed to be this little glitch in the game, but whenever I exited a town area with a visible alpha effect (e.g. the sun rays in the villages) the rays stay visible even after the screen has faded to black. I don’t know if it’s due to my slow PC (a Pentium IV), but in any case it’s not really a game breaker or anything. 🙂
Is the song Spanish or Japanese? I can’t tell… It sounds interesting, but I want to know what it means… *sigh*. When are you going to put the game out? I want to play the demo, but I have a Mac… It’s k, I’ll find a way to play somehow. >:)
Ah, sorry about it not being able to work on a Mac. Thus far I haven’t been able to figure out a way to make it compatible, but I’ll keep researching! As for the song, both “Melolune” and “Carya de Mio” are sung in the language of the ancient Ciroans (characters in the game)… so it’s not actually a real language.
It really does! It’s such a fun game, with amazing music (I always have enjoyed your music) and incredible addiction. Has a good storyline, great humor, and the only problem I found is that it’s a demo. I can’t wait for it to be finished!
…Not to say you should rush it, of course, unless you really want to. A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever.
aww… that’s awesome!!!! worth watching…. From watching that video… my conclusion is… “You are such a patient person, don’t you?” I tried (and tired) making an RPG with RPG maker XP… (ftw, it’s really boring!) I mess everyhing, hehehe… I just can’t do it)… your game looks really really good … Lots of fan art for just a demo… that’s cool… n_n… visit my site if ya like, hehe…
